Karnataka Housing Department

The Department of Housing is responsible for planning and implementing housing schemes across Karnataka. It was established as an independent department following the bifurcation of the composite Department of Housing and Urban Development. The department focuses on providing affordable housing to economically weaker sections, low-income, middle-income, and high-income groups in both rural and urban areas. It implements state and centrally sponsored schemes and oversees key housing bodies like the Karnataka Housing Board (KHB), Rajiv Gandhi Rural Housing Corporation Limited (RGRHCL), and Karnataka Slum Development Board (KSDB).
